Residential Services

Welcome to Woodbeg

Woodbeg is a modern & spacious bungalow situated on the outskirts of Newcastle Village in Co. Wicklow.

Woodbeg provides residential support for up-to two individuals on a full-time basis with a diagnosis in the moderate to profound range of intellectual disability. Woodbeg is currently home to two adults.

Woodbeg is designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for all our residents so that they can feel safe, can learn new things and most importantly have fun.

Our Woodbeg team, composed of highly qualified professionals who are passionate about providing the best care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, are committed to understanding the unique needs of each individual and tailoring our services to ensure their comfort and well-being.

Woodbeg endeavours to create for each individual a “home from home” environment whilst promoting independent living skills, positive peer interaction and social leisure opportunities.

Residents in Woodbeg have access to a wide range of leisure activities to meet their individual needs including trampolines and multi-sensory equipment. There is a lot to do in the areas surrounding Newcastle village with easy access, by vehicle, to a number of local amenities.

All individuals are actively encouraged and supported to become a valued member of their local community through community engagement and social inclusion. Through various activities and outings, we help individuals build social connections and foster a sense of belonging within the broader community.

Residents are actively encouraged and supported to participate in community outings and events. To that end, it is only a short drive to Kilcoole, Greystones and Bray where individuals can avail of a wide range of activities including cinemas, cafes, restaurants and leisure centres with swimming pools

We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for those we support. Our goal is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives, fostering independence, and promoting personal growth through the provision of appropriate supports in many aspects of their daily lives, including nutrition, health and safety, self-sufficiency and community engagement.
