Services provided by St. Catherine’s Association

Children’s Respite, Children & Adult’s Residential Services and Adult Day Services

St Catherine’s Association caters to a wide variety of service needs across multiple locations in Co. Wicklow. St Catherine’s offering includes residential support to children and adults, traditional respite support to children, alternative community based support to children, and day service support to adults. We employ approximately 190 staff within our care provision settings.

Supported individuals in residential, respite and day services can avail of St Catherine’s retained clinical services in the areas of Positive Behaviour Support and Nursing. And St Catherine’s provide support to all individuals to access community based clinical services, as required, based on their individual assessed needs.

How to Access Our Services

St Catherine’s Association is a section 39 service provider operating from multiple locations in Co. Wicklow primarily funded by the Health Service Executive (HSE). St Catherine’s Association caters to individuals with a formal diagnosis of moderate to severe / profound intellectual disability.

Applications for St Catherine’s respite services are submitted directly to the HSE Central Respite Referrals Committee for consideration. St Catherine’s respite service caters to children aged between 6 and 17 years.

Applicants for St Catherine’s residential services are submitted directly to the HSE Disability Services Manager for consideration. St Catherine’s residential service cater to individuals aged 12 and upwards.

Applicants for St Catherine’s day services are submitted directly to the HSE Day Services Opportunities Team at least 13 months in advance of the individual leaving school. Students may be referred from age 16 for future planning purposes also.
