Physiotherapy

 We can:

  • Help identify the causes of movement impairment and develop a planned programme aimed at maximizing movement potential;
  • Promote independence by assisting in maintaining or improving levels of physical function;
  • Provide consultation and advice to parents and families in the management of physical disability.

In addition, we offer hydrotherapy, horse riding and orthotic assessment (specialised footwear/splints etc.). The physiotherapist may provide treatment on an individual basis or in a group setting, where appropriate. The involvement of parents/carers in the physiotherapy programme is essential for a successful outcome, particularly in the early years.
