SPORTING PROUD TRIATHLON IN AID OF ST. CATHERINES ASSOCIATION

We’re delighted to announce a major fund raising event for St Catherine’s Association will take place on Saturday 2nd September at Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow. This annual triathlon event is run by Sporting Proud who we teamed up with in 2007 and 2008 to raise a significant amount of money for St Catherine’s Association. Following that success they have selected 7 charities who they have worked with previously to support again this year. Our goal is to raise €47,750.00 for a new playground facility at Haughton House, Haughton Lodge and Brambles and we are looking for your support. Sporting Proud will run the event and will give us all money specifically raised for St Catherine’s Association. The triathlon itself is made up of swimming, running and cycling, and has two different distances for beginners and the more advanced. It can be done as an individual or as a team. Individual entrants are asked to target €250 in their fundraising efforts and teams €500 but we are hoping most can exceed that. We will also be looking for sponsorship and donations from those that perhaps can’t compete but still want to support us. We’re really excited to be teaming up again with Sporting Proud! It’s a great opportunity to have some fun and raise some money for a project that will make a big difference for those staying at Haughton House, Haughton Lodge and Brambles. Please choose St. Catherines Association as your preferred charity. For further information please see link below or contact Kalinda Healy on 087 7548234 https://sportingproud.org/    ...

National Programme for Restructuring Children’s Disability Services

National Programme for Restructuring Children’s Disability Services The HSE has begun a process called Progressing Disability Services, the aim of this process is to have one clear pathway for all children with disabilities living in a geographical area. St Catherine’s Services are participating in this process. The HSE recognises the importance of parents as stakeholders and ongoing meetings are planned to consult with parents as the process moves forward. The acting CEO is also a memberof the Governance Group along with repsentatives from HSE, Beeachpark Services and Enable Irelan.
